I started off the year with one goal at the forefront. I want to make learning in my classroom more student centered. I went to a great conference that gave me many great ideas on how to do just that. The first thing I did was remove my teacher's desk. I am no longer anchored to one spot, which will make me more mobile! This way I can better assist ALL my students. I am lucky enough to have a wireless projector in my room and a tablet which helps achieve this goal. I can walk around the room and take my tablet with me. Unfortunately, I still find myself anchored to one spot when having to display documents. Also, in order to display student work THEY have to come to the document camera. This is my main concern.
I want my students to take pride in their work and be eager to show it off! With this wireless document camera, I hope to achieve just that! I can picture walking around with the document camera and seeing eager faces, waiting and hoping to have their work displayed! I want to create confident learners, who aren't afraid to make mistakes! I want to see hands shoot up, asking to show off their work to the class! Please help me give my students the opportunity to become more confident in themselves!
