My classroom suffered quite a bit of damage due to Hurricane Irma. The biggest loss was that of an iPad (with its protective cover) that I had which I used along with my interactive board and which students would use when we would do class presentations. It is an item students really enjoyed using and helped tremendously when we did station work and/or infused technology. I also lost a wireless presentation pointer which the students also use, along with the batteries.
Since I am the 8th grade teacher sponsor, I had an entire stack of certificate jackets that I use for our promotion ceremony that were ruined along with the labels used on the medals given to students for their outstanding performance.
Finally, I would like to replace some poster board, glue sticks, markers, labels, construction and color paper, and sheet protectors that I use in class for cooperative learning and for students to create posters. I would appreciate nothing more than having these items available for student use again. I guarantee that these items would be put to great use.
