My third grade students are an amazing group of kids with equally as amazing potential. Unfortunately the vast majority of them come from low income households where just getting food on their table is a high priority. English is not the first language in most of their homes, so being in an english speaking classroom proves to add to their challenges. This school year I have 25 students on my roster. These kids are diverse in their backgrounds, needs and learning styles. Yet, they come to school every day thirsty for knowledge and looking for ways to better themselves.
