I am requesting resources to incorporate hands on literacy centers for my kindergartners. My students will use clay, sand, and puzzles to practice letter recognition and sight words. The pocket charts will be used for mini-lessons that will introduce the letter of the week and the skill students will be working on in their centers.
It is important for my students to be engaged in their centers because they will be practicing the fundamental skills for reading. The resources in this list will help my students build a strong foundation in literacy. It is important for my students to find a love for reading early.
