My students need a listening center along with headphones and a CD player. These resources will help them access more books at higher levels than they normally would be able to on their own. Listening to rich texts will provide them with vocabulary, background knowledge, and the ability to listen to stories for pleasure. The listening center will help students who struggle with reading comprehension improve their skills in a fun and engaging way! Our classrooms are not yet at the level technologically to meet their needs as learners. This grant will help to close that gap just a little bit more.
