Right now, my students are without iPads. This is technology they are familiar with at home. It is difficult for them to use a mouse with an old desktop. iPads are what they have at home. My students need games and activities that focus on the alphabet, letter recognition, and writing to explore our learning. Our students will use these materials to build on their abilities through making letters and sounds, and then words! These activities will be used during Learning Center time and rotations throughout the day as we read and write while learning together. They will be able to use these manipulatives during our whole group and small group time, learning letters and sounds as they make words, numbers, and sets as we explore counting skills.
Because our school was impacted by Harvey, your generous donation to our project will improve our Pre-K classroom by building stronger readers and by also giving them a comfortable space to learn in.
This will change our students' lives for the better because they will love school and feel success at an early age --- having fun while learning!
