I teach in a Title I school in South Carolina where every student receives free or reduced breakfast and lunch. The ability for some of my students to be able to come to class prepared for the school day can be extremely challenging for them. Everyday a student comes without the necessary supplies in order for them to be successful for the day. I do not want to have my students worrying about where their supplies and resources are coming from when I know they have bigger issues to worry about at home. Like I tell my students everyday, "I am here for their success!'
