We are hoping to raise enough money to collect materials to use for Writer's Workshop. Writer's Workshop is a time every day that students spend making books, writing, sharing stories, and growing as authors and illustrators. The materials collected will go towards cultivating the creativity throughout the writing process!
Having multiple choices during Writer's Workshop allows students to fully develop the craft of writing and illustrating. Their ability to increase detail. as well as imagination, develops with the more choices they have. We are hoping to raise money for special markers, gel pens, and other writing utensils. All the research we have done points to the ideal that children will write more if given a multitude of different writing utensils.
