A lot of children are blessed with multiple options of what they are going to wear the next day, ways to communicate with family and friends and different options of toys to explore. The students at my school come from diverse backgrounds and low socio-economic status. Many face multiple challenges because of this.
My students come to school eager to learn and explore the growing world around them! The children that pass through my room have not experienced some of the great things life has to offer for their age.
The majority of the students, at my school, come from a low income area and have not had the life experiences of a typically first grader. I would love to be able to provide the opportunity for my students to explore through numerous hands-on explorations within my classroom.
