When we communicate within our environment we do so with ease and with no foresight. My students are on the Autism Spectrum Disorders Scale and have limited to no verbal skills.
Use of a "Go Talk" communication device allows my students a voice in the classroom.
Go Talks will be used to initiate conversations, support daily activities, talk on the telephone, tell personal anecdotes, practice speaking and articulation (for those with verbal skills), give instructions, participate in small group instruction and so much more! It will open doors that they were not available to them and allow them to become active in communicative activities and social groups.
