While the world is ever-changing and technology is now an everyday​ part of life, current students are being engaged in learning programs that require some sort of computer device. Our classroom is an intervention class for students with special education needs. Unfortunately, our classroom is only provided with four computers for students to do two programs, TeachTown Basics and Smarty Ants. TeachTown Basics is a program that is used to improve the academic, behavioral, and adaptive functioning of students with disabilities. The Smarty Ants program provides fun activities and games for them to complete which, in turn, provides them with the knowledge needed to sound out words, read, write, make sentences, and so much more. Each student would greatly benefit from doing both programs daily. By helping to fund the extra Chromebooks and headphones, more students will be able to work on this program which will only lead to added success in the classroom.
