The Rest and Return Room has been created as a calm, safe place for our students to go regulate their emotions when feeling disregulated. This room has already shown to benefit our referral process by catching students before they act out.
By creating a comfortable atmosphere with flexible seating options, students will be able to sit quietly while using the sensory tools to return to their classrooms and be a productive member. We'd like to have seating that is softer and more regulating than an average classroom chairs. A kid size couch, cushions and pillows will help achieve a comfortable environment.
