These books will be used in my enrichment block for my scholars reading on a 7th grade or higher level. We will have five cohorts where the scholars will pick a book to focus on each term. We will read, discuss and do projects focusing on the book. By having a selection of book students will be more interested. The students are excited about picking out a book just for their group instead of the whole class.
The students will also feel responsible for participating because they will have chose their book. Most importantly, we will be able to focus on students comprehension and their response to literature.
