Our students will be able to delve into coding by programming the sphero robots. They’ll be able to navigate the robots through an obstacle course and compete with students on different teams. They will have to communicate with each other, collaborate, problem solve and explore solutions as problems arise. These activities will improve their focus and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) skills. The robots may also be used as an incentive for students who achieve personal goals. They can use their facial expressions to drive the robots and play games through the sphero app. This project will give my students the ability to learn through a high interest play activity while possibly opening doors to future career opportunities.
