The materials that I have requested for my first grade students will aid them in becoming deeper thinkers. They will be exposed to science, math, and engineering activities. These STEM materials will help to broaden their mathematical and science knowledge and to become analytical thinkers.
My students come from various backgrounds and cultures, and all are eager to learn more about the world around them. Each of my kiddos benefits from hands-on activities that allow them to be engaged in the ever-changing world around them. By providing LEGOS and other manipulatives, my students can work in collaborative groups or independently to build their science and math skills. We will use these learning tools daily during our core math curriculum, math intervention, and science lessons. I plan on running STEAM centers weekly that we have currently been unable to participate in due to lack of resources.
Students' imaginations can soar as the world of math and science open up to them through engaging play and learning activities.
