Our students attend a Title I highschool and come from low income communities. The majority of them have not been exposed to many different recreational/sport activities other than soccer and basketball. As teachers we are always trying to expose our students to things they have not seen or done before.
The game of lacrosse has become very popular over the last 10 years however we don't feel our students have been exposed to this game in thier communities. We would like to teach them the increasingly popular game of lacrosse and give them the exposure to this new sport. Who know's, maybe it can lead them to playing for a club or eventually in college.
