Each day as we sit in a circle, students dig deep and share meaningful experiences. Students share about things that make them excited or happy and things that can break your heart. Circle time is a time when I get to learn more about each student and what they are going through. I have listened about family separation, new additions to the family, tragedy, but most of all, my students pouring out their heart to their friends and teacher. This is a place where we have laughed together and cried together. Where students have entrusted us with their heats. I would love to give them a carpet to sit on. A comfortable place to gather that feels a little bit more like home.
