I teach 7th Grade Math, but work with a team of teachers who conduct learning expeditions across curriculums (math, science, ELA, social studies, the arts.) We are a high needs school. We are Title I (majority of students are low income.) One-third of our students have IEPs (Special Education.) Our students have a mix of racial, religious, and ethnic backgrounds. ALL OF THESE FACTORS MAKE US STRONGER. (We strive NOT to be a test-prep school, but our kids do well on the tests just the same.)
