My students (English language learning & Special Education) need a technology center to better acquire English language skills, to better express themselves verbally and in writing; to improve and acquire oral expressive language; to improve their reading, math, science and technology skills.
Please help us build our technology center one i-Pad at a time. The iPad will enhance and facilitate their learning with active hands on activities through the use of multiple modalities. Students can easily access educational websites and programs that will enrich their ability to learn and improve their English. By improving their English, they'll be able to acquire Academic Content Vocabulary. At this station, students will be able to listen to stories or practice listening to audio conversations to boost their listening and speaking confidence. Ultimately, these students will have a better chance to eventually graduate high school instead of being part of the 75% drop out rate in ELL and minority students in Nevada.
