This past year has been such a challenge for our little learners! They have navigated remote learning, to social distancing, and mask wearing during in person learning. Phew, that's tricky when you are 4 years old. With all of these changes, we need books to help build their social emotional capacity. Our learners need to learn how to work with one another, but also learn how we are all different!
Our classroom library needs to reflect the diversity of our community while providing our little ones with tools to navigate the challenges of working with one another again!
Empathy and problem solving are two critical life skills--for now and their future! Help our students see themselves in the books that we read. Give them the tools to navigate tricky social situations right from the start. I have also requested a bookstand and shelving to store all these wonderful books so they are accessible for little fingers!
