I didn't become a teacher because I had a passion for words. I became a teacher because I have a deep belief in the power of literature, and how it has the capability of transforming lives. By allowing books into the classroom that mirror their daily lives it will increase engagement.
This project will guide my students into being lifelong learners of literature. While increasing their perspectives of the world they live in today, and the complexities they will face once emerged. They will be exposed to multiple identities, and diversities which will only widen their lens of the world.
