I have a terrific classroom filled with manipulatives for hands on learning. Most of my materials were provided by grants through the CTF for special projects designed by me. The books on the counter were purchased by me. This year because of funding, I do not have any art paper, story paper, or anchor chart paper for student work. Part of their hands on learning is missing. They love to create images of the things we learn about. Moments of creativity give my six and seven years old the greatest joy. They are a diverse group ethnically and economically, but they are active and artistic. They are all eager to learn. There are 14 boys and 13 girls in my class for a total of 27 students.
