Students coming from low income, minority homes are lacking basic materials such as high lighters, glue, scissors, tape. These basic supplies are used every day in the classroom. I have bought some of these materials myself. But they get expensive, especially with teaching 186 students per day. I would like to ensure my students receive the basic supplies that are needed to succeed in the classroom.
I use interactive notebooks in the classroom for mathematics. I use foldables, skeleton notes, and cutouts to help students understand mathematics. We also use games in the classroom that students make. Students make posters and work in group assignments together.
