The math manipulatives will help my ESOL and ESE students understand abstract concepts, such as ten base become concrete by seeing the ones become a ten and the ten rods become a hundred. I will use the supplies for differentiated instruction and create a math center in my classroom. I can rotate the classroom allowing them to collaborate in groups and develop their social skills, which promotes risk-taking and allows an opportunity for them to practice speaking in English.
They will be able to use measurement tools to perform labs, they will be able to have meaningful and authentic learning experiences that will allow them to make real life connections in the classroom. They will use the microscope to observe objects and record what they see, developing their writing skills as well.
