I am requesting sewing machines for my students so they may explore and design projects that are not only useful- but will also introduce them to careers they may not have had the opportunity to try-on before. Sewing is a life skill people may use throughout their lives. Everyone will have to sew a button on, hem pants or make curtains for a home at some point in their lives. Pillow cases, clothing and home decor items will be made in class. Creating items on their own will hopefully create sparks for possible careers as well as provide them with the self-satisfaction of making things on their own they will be able to use in everyday life.

About my class
