The balls, block play people, and other sensory materials are all about play, which is how my students learn. Anything sensory is so helpful for my students on the autistic spectrum. I've asked for a set of headphones so that I can have a student on the computer without all the other kids crowding around them wanting to play on it as well because they can hear the music. Girls and boys alike love to play with cars, the counting cars will set an example of one to one ratio.
The toy people with disabilities is an awesome way to show my students that they are not alone.
