Support Ms. Lowe's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
My students will benefit from these materials as we create an environment that is welcoming and safe. A great deal of my students live in areas that are not the most ideal neighborhoods. When students enter the classroom, I want for them to have everything needed to succeed. The structure of the environment is really important for my students to keep them focused and determined.
Giving low income students a learning environment that feels like home with flexible seating as well as different supplies to enhance and hone the different skills/learning styles of my students is vital. We plan to use the handheld white boards to complete quick assessments that are not as intimidating as the formal assessments. The flexible seating along with the calming lights, reading rug, and diffusers will set a calming environment to aid in creating a classroom that my students are able to forget about all of their outside distractions and focus on academics along with building relationships within our learning community. My goal is to also use the fidget spinners and calming bottles to create a cool down corner within the classroom for those students that need some think time and for students that may be having a rough day. My students will continue to work hard to show their appreciation for all of the donations.
