Many students in my classroom do not have access to 21st century technology at home, and our sources in Kindergarten are very limited.
Kindle Fire tablets are an easy and accessible way to enhance young children's learning. I plan to put them on the tablets during our "Daily 5" time, which is an ELA-based rotation that teaches phonics, literature, and technology skills. Along with this, I will also utilize them in math and science, making them available during our math block and STEM time. 5 and 6 year olds in the 21st century need to be exposed to the wonderful technology that is now available. By having these tablets they will master the skills they need in a fun and exciting way (what kid doesn't love a tablet?!) They will absolutely freak out if I bring these in for them to use!
