Our students live in poverty. (Rochester has the third-highest childhood poverty rate of metropolitan areas in the nation.) Our principal's vision is to teach our students the STEM skills they will need to compete in the future job market so that they can rise above the cycle of poverty.
The hand2mind STEM Bins for Elementary Engineering include engaging STEM Activities for kids ages 5-7 that will entice the students to explore principals of engineering in a way that feels like play while building a foundation for future STEM challenges.
The K-2 students enjoy coming to library class to hear a story read aloud and then look for a book to borrow, but after all that quiet activity, they are ready to use their hands! These STEM Bins will have the appeal of toys but accomplish so much more!
