COVID-19 has hit the education field hard as we transitioned from in-person to virtual learning, with not many well-versed in technology or with the proper and adequate technology. Now that my students are at home, there are challenges they face such as trying to decrease their distractions. As it is, teaching has become challenging as we want to meet their academic needs, however, with the noise-cancelling headphones we are accommodating to their circumstances. Students will have more opportunities to be more focused, become empowered and involved in their learning. Daily, students enter their virtual safe haven to review what they have learned in their homeroom class in the subjects reading and math. Additionally, they get support in their assignments and tests which benefits them in meeting their needs and services.
