My students will use the fishing tools and water shirts to protect their clothing as they explore materials and the properties of water. They will use the playdough and tools to explore the texture and pliability of a moldable resource and they will work to develop their fine motor skills in the process. The LEGO sets will provide an invitation to develop early engineering skills and to provide an open-ended platform for creativity.
The materials for this project will provide the essential base for student connection and collaboration and will facilitate partnering among and between the students as they explore and create together using sustainable materials of extremely high interest.
My gen ed transitional kindergarten students will work hand-in-hand and face-to-face with mod-severe special ed students to help build relationships and enhance and support learning.
