This might be true but is there a way that students CAN make their own history? One of my biggest goals is finding creative ways to engage my learners in the process of becoming a historian. This year I have teamed up with the other teachers in our EXCEL academy with a plan. We intend to hold a Painting with a DJ Twist for our entire campus.
Students will be supplied with art materials including paint, canvas, brushes, aprons, and easels. Upon arriving our artists will be greeted by the sounds of the different cultures that make up our diverse history. They will then be engaged in painting their own creative rendition of a historical work. Please help us fund this project and bring history to life at B Middle School.
