More than half of our student body receive free or reduced lunch, but those lunches aren't necessarily healthy. These students are also at a greater risk for developing Type 2 diabetes. By learning about nutrition and the importance of incorporating healthy activities like walking 10,000 steps a day, we may be able to help these Freshmen learn how to have a longer healthy life.
