I look forward to having these materials in my classroom. I am confident it will make a difference in the students' learning abilities. The goal is to engage them with realia to help them understand math concepts. Also, our students need lots of visuals to gain understanding and make the connection.
Math is a very important skill that is needed beyond grade school. Math is all around us. My students will appreciate the items donated to them as it will help them to improve their overall math scores and abilities.
As a Math Teacher, I teach students on all grade levels in small groups and on one-on-one for intervention. The items such as the fraction and place value flip charts will help my students see numbers beyond the text book. Also, I look forward to implementing the addition and subtraction game as it will make learning more magical. In addition, the counting bears are for our primary students to assist them with one-to-one correspondence, as the Touch Math will help our students with exceptional needs. Moreover, I am asking for some cute frog erasers as an incentive for my students as (M)istakes (A)llow (T)hinking to (H)appen.
