I really don't have a classroom, but I do co-teach with several bilingual teachers due to be the only Special Education teacher for bilingual students in my building. At this time, and due to our ever changing weather in Illinois, we are in need of a carpet for our 26 students enrolled in 1st grade this school year. our curriculum is changing a lot and is requiring students to sit on the floor for long portions of the day to have the proximity and benefit of being closed to teachers at all times. we do transition from desks to floor several times during the day to provide students with the most needed extra movement at that age. We do have a PTA in our building, but being that is exactly why they cant support us with those expenses. our school budget is very limited and cant support us at this time., therefore, we will truly appreciate your donation.
