Learning centers are a very important part of our Kindergarten curriculum. All centers have a variety of different learning opportunities. They keep students engaged in learning and provide differentiated instruction which helps to meet their individual needs. The MP3 players and iPod will be a new and fun center that will help keep the students actively engaged. In this center, students will participate in phonemic awareness activities and tasks that involve identifying their letters, sounds and sight words. The students will use headphones so they can work independently without disturbing their peers. I feel that this will be a great tool in helping them to succeed.
