The headphones in this project will give my students access to the wonderful world of podcasts, videos, and interactive online activities while working at their own pace. The microphones on these headphones will also allow my students to record themselves speaking so they can create student-led projects such as PowerPoint presentations, videos, and their own podcasts. Giving my students these tools for both independent learning and demonstrating understanding will increase engagement and enjoyment in my classroom, while also building confidence in students with special needs or those who benefit from non-traditional approaches to learning.
Additionally, we are in need of electric pencil sharpeners and an electric hole punch so that my students can build organized binders of texts and other information in an efficient manner.
