My classroom consists of 30 students identified with Dyslexia. My students currently range from first grade to fourth grade. They are grouped based on the lesson that they are on, so some of my groups consist of 1st-4th graders, while others have only one grade level. My students range in their ability levels. Dyslexia is characterized by difficulties with accurate and/or fluent word recognition and by poor spelling and decoding abilities. In our multi-sensory intervention program, I work with the students to overcome these difficulties.
