As young readers develop a love for reading, hardcover book collections can give them the opportunity to hold onto a real book. Putting books into the hands of youngsters after meeting a CELEBRITY AUTHOR who lives in NJ brings the experience home. While introducing BUDDY READING this Spring we hope to continue our fiction explorations with narrative elements and build character traits through our character connections.
After reading the story PRICKLE by April Litwin, a new author, our readers will use their reading strategies of predicting, expand vocabulary through a text and study of narrative elements in order to share the moral of this PRICKLY story. Their reading journey will take them through an adventure of a young girl who learns to make the best of a situation,
