The materials that I am requesting is for my students to be more engaged in my lessons. I will add the safari, farm, aquatic animals play-sets during the lessons. They will have a better knowledge of what animals look like in real life. I will also use the super bug set to explain to them the parts of an insect and how can we identify insects based on their characteristics. Speaking of science and magnetics, the magnetic discovery board will help my students discover if an item is magnetic or not.
My Pre-K students love to paint and we are running out of paint, that is why I would like to have a set of Tempera Paint for them to continue expressing their feelings thru art. With the community play carpet, family and friends set, city blocks and telephone my students will pretend and learn how our community works and how they need to socialize with others.
Finally, I would like to add some math manipulatives for my class because I know they will take the advantage of them. Using the peg number boards and dough maths, my students will have an opportunity to play and learn to count. Also, with the sliceable fruits and veggies, they will learn parts of a whole.
