I was fortunate to have a steel drum group perform at our school years ago and they taught me and my students so much. Students remembered the unique sounds and the fun they had performing. It seemed to inspire so many students to participate. These instruments will be the start of a larger ensemble, that I will be able to create and perform with. One of my friends is a steel drum consultant and percussionist and is providing beginning music for me to use with my students. I should have a group up and running in no time if I can get the instruments.
