My students live in the small southern Illinois community of Marissa. Due to the socioeconomic status our little town, all students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. I am a former student of Marissa School District. It has been difficult for me to see families in our area struggling to meet the financial needs of their children. I feel that giving my students ownership in what they are learning would be empowering. Thank you for considering assisting my students with their education.
