Having this carpet will help to teach each student routines, expectations, shapes, colors and be respectful listeners. They will learn to become independent learners and eventually will be able to sit at a desk and be a productive student in a general education classroom.
They will learn to be more attentive and be able to focus for a longer amount of time.
They will be learning spacial recognition, calendar, social skills and adaptive daily living skills. They will be practicing social/communication skills so they are able to talk to peers and adults to express their learning and their individual needs.
