My sweet first grade students are energetic, motivated, and eager to learn.I have English Language Learners as well as Gifted and Talented students. We have 22 students; 12 boys and 10 girls. We are a Title 1 school and over half of our students are economically-disadvantaged. The level of ability ranges from non-readers to students reading on the 4th grade level. It's a blessing to see them work together and build each other up while working toward individualized goals. Our safe and family-like classroom environment allows students to take risks, push themselves academically, and build each other up in a positive way. My goal is for my students to feel safe, love learning, and give them memories they can cherish forever.
