As our school moves towards full inclusion, I am on a mission to create a sensory space that the kids can go to when learning becomes overstimulating. I want to create a space where students feel safe, a place where their sensory needs are met so that they can go back to the classroom ready to learn.
I have selected the Dizzy Disk, Floor Tiles, Therapy Swing, Riverstones and Balance Balls as a first step towards creating a sensory area where my students can swing, spin, bounce, and get the sensory input they need so they are ready to learn. A sensory room is one step toward setting our students up for success!
