My classroom is a comfortable, cozy safe place for students to learn mathematics. I strive to make my students comfortable with math so that they have the confidence to tackle difficult problems in and outside the classroom. In order for students to be the most confident on certain problems, they need tools to compute without frustration. Students will be using the calculators to compute mathematical problems that may be too complicated to do in their heads. Students will be using these tools in the classroom but may "checkout" a calculator to take home if needed. With this tool, students will learn number sense and get accurate answers to difficult calculations.
