Most these students have spent the entirety of their education in the pandemic, and have felt the hardships and uncertainty that has come with it. Therefore, this math club cannot come soon enough. I want my students to have a positive relationship with math and their community. I believe having this biweekly math club for students will not only strengthen their mathematical identity, but strengthen their relationships with their classmates as well.
Our afterschool math club snacks (which will be eaten outside with social distance) will provide our students the nourishment they need to stay focused on their mathematical goals, build relationships and confidence this year. I truly appreciate your support!
