This year my students will be challenged to write expository compositions. One of the challenges we face is not having enough tools to ensure they will master the concepts of writing and knowing what words mean. We will use the dictionaries in class daily. Students will be able to use these dictionaries while writing to expository compositions as well. We will work in group to find meanings of words through classwork and warm up exercises using this book. I'm a strong believer in the saying "words are powerful" and with the right tools, we will achieve the unknown. This year is the first these students will be challenged to produce written compositions and I want them to be fully prepared. Growing up in similar situations I understand how it feels not to have all the tools needed to succeed. Thanks in advance for your help!
