My role as a Resource teacher is to assist the class teachers and to provide additional one to one or small group support for children with mild to moderate learning difficulties.
These children touch my heart. When I see a child who struggles make progress through what we may consider a minor task , such as writing out his/her own name legibly, counting past 100, or reading a whole sentence, I am reminded that I have the best job in the world. I teach students with special needs; I teach my own heroes.
