I am a 6th grade math teacher, and I love my job. I have been teaching math for 28 years. I go to work each day excited about what I will teach my students. I have a passion for what I do, and I love seeing my students excited about learning. My school is located in a rural area with a high poverty rate. Many of my students don't see school as a priority. However, I have discovered this year that my students are taking pride and ownership in their learning, and it's all because of the projects we are creating in class.
